The District 1-6A/2-6A Area Track and Field Championship will be April 22 at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
The top 4 finishers will advance to the Region 1 Championship in Arlington, April 28-29.
Top performances at the District 1-6A Championship include:
Eastwood’s Adelynn Rodriguez won the 800 meters, 1,600 meters and helped the team to the 4×400 meter relay title.
Franklin’s Amelia Stuart who won the long jump and the pole vault and won a gold with the 400-relay team. She is a three-time district champ in the pole vault.
Franklin’s Emily Orr won the 3,200 meters and was second in the 1,600 meters.
Franklin’s Beau Sparks won the 100 meters and 200 meters and helped 400-meter relay team to win in championship.
Coronado’s Luis Pastor won the 1,600 and the 3,200 meters.

The District 1-5A/2-5A and the District 1-4A/2-4A area track and field championships will be Friday at Riverside High School in the Tom Work Riverfront Stadium.
Top 4 finishers in each event advance to the regional championship in Lubbock, April 28-29.
